Common questions

Answers to the things people ask most before getting started.

Getting Started

Fill out the intake form on our Start Here page. Lance reviews every submission personally and will reply within 48 hours with a clear recommendation and next steps.

Your first visit is a full assessment — Lance will listen closely, watch how you move, and start building a picture of what's going on. Expect hands-on work, conversation, and a clear plan before you leave. Wear comfortable clothes you can move in.

Resilience is the flagship track — long-term, consistent care with priority scheduling. It's built for people who want steady progress and fewer setbacks. Flow is a shorter-arc option with sessions booked as openings come up — great for a specific issue or for people exploring the fit. Same pricing, same quality. You can learn more on the Flow page.

Fees & Insurance

Movement Solutions is an out-of-network practice. We provide a superbill after each session that you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. Many PPO plans cover a meaningful portion of out-of-network physical therapy.

Yes. Physical therapy is an eligible expense for Health Savings Accounts (HSA), Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), and Medical Savings Accounts (MSA). We accept HSA/FSA debit cards at the time of service.

We keep it simple — sessions are based on how much time you need: $175 for 55 minutes, $350 for 115 minutes, or $525 for 175 minutes. No packages, no prepayment, no surprises. Payment is due at the time of your visit. You can see the full breakdown on our Fees page.

When insurance is in the middle, it often means shorter sessions, visit caps, prior authorizations, and denials that get between you and the care you need. By working outside of that system, we're able to give you longer sessions, a plan built entirely around your goals, and one-on-one time with Lance every visit — without the hassle. Your care is shaped by what you actually need, not by what an insurance company decides to approve.

About the Practice

Yes — in order to deliver the outcomes and experience we want for every client, Lance keeps the caseload small. That way every session gets full, undivided attention. Submitting an intake form is the best way to get started and be first in line when a spot opens.

Movement Solutions is located at 513 4th Street in Wilmette, Illinois. It's a solo practice — when you come in, you work with Lance directly, every session.

Yes, there is free parking available near the clinic.

Lance works with chronic pain, recurring injuries, post-surgical recovery, balance and longevity concerns, and athletic performance. The common thread is people who want more than a quick fix — they want a body they can depend on. Movement Solutions does not treat auto accident cases, workplace injuries, or matters involving active legal proceedings.

Yes — and it's a core focus. Lance uses a neuroscience-informed approach that addresses both the physical patterns and the nervous system's role in persistent pain. This isn't about masking symptoms. It's about building real, lasting capacity.

Sessions & Scheduling

That depends on your situation and which track you're on. Resilience clients typically have a consistent weekly rhythm. Flow clients come in as needed. Lance will recommend a frequency based on your goals during your first visit.

We ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Consistent attendance matters — especially for Resilience clients — and repeated late cancellations may affect your scheduling priority.

Show up consistently. Do the work between visits. Be honest about what's working and what isn't. The clients who see the best results are the ones who treat this as a partnership, not a passive service.
